Just wanted to let you know that while working on a better name registration system that would also allow for private repository name allocation, I wrote a short paper describing a different name registration approach (as opposed to one implemented in Gitchain at the moment, which is inspired by Namecoin).
It is very new and is very likely to contain critical omissions and errors, but I'm publishing it anyway to start collecting some feedback. It is very likely to get integrated into Gitchain one way or another. Here's the paper itself. Enjoy!
